Hi All
I have adhd and really confused
My conditional order is ready to be applied for on 24th Jauary

Can I just apply and be divorced after the 6 weeks or so or do I have to send a clean break order? We have agreed on finances.

With the conditional order do I need to complete any forms i.e D81? Where do I get this from? Do I have to send it. If I don't send a clean brea order do still have to complete a D81?

Can I apply for a clean break after divorce?

I orderd a clean break full order online and going through the question set but so confused with all the pension questions too.

I want to be divorced asap.

Go to ADVICE NOW link in header. Download the guides. They’ll explain the whole process in easy DIY terms.
you need to get your financial agreement signed off at final order really. It’s not mandated. But it’s idiotic/hugely risky not too.

The government divorce pages are also very good at walking you through the process - very clear

but you need to read up and inform yourself, op, people on here can give you a potted version of what to do, but often they get things wrong. Don’t rely on that info- go to ADVICE NOW site, get the guides- they’re written by English solicitors (it’s a charity to make the law accessible and low cost for English residents). Divorce isn’t actually that complicated as a process- and these resources spell out what to do, how to do it and when. It’ll save you a fortune in solicitors fees, meaning you only use solicitors where it is absolutely necessary,

you need to understand the following

  1. what is minimum you need solicitors for
  2. the legal meaning, and relevance to you of “fair settlement “
  3. D81 and form E - how and when to complete
  4. when financial agreement are submitted and when “sealed” by courts
  5. how to submit a “consent order” or apply for a financial agreement , and what mediation is needed if you can’t agree,

all these points covered in guides by ADVICE NOW

if you’re in Scotland, I’m afraid I don’t know what the equivalent of ADVICE NOW is, but a search will put you on right path.
