Coping at Christmas

Hello ,
I am in the middle of a horrible divorce ,negotiations via solicitor . We are still in the same house and it’s horrible . Are any others in the same situation ? My solicitor has to be firm as his solicitor is quite rude in his letters . I am so scared of his reaction as he is very verbally and EA .
can anyone give me some tips to cope ?

Just wanted to say how much I empathise. I was where you are and it is indescribably awful. The only thing that really helped was for me to stay out of his way as much as possible. He made this hard but I was sharing a room with my child so he was more respectful of their boundary. It meant I had a safe space. Also if you can afford it do get some counselling - it really helped me learn some coping strategies - grey rock, choosing not to engage when provoked, how to bring myself down from panic attacks/ overwhelm. You don't have to react to him but goodness it is hard when it is a relentless barrage of provocation. Hang in there. You have to go through the pain to come out of the other side. I ended up going the court route as solicitors weren't getting anywhere and I just couldn't afford to keep going down that route. I wish I'd done it earlier. Acted as LIP and the judge at final hearing had a field day with my ex and his lies/ manipulation. Take one day at a time and be very kind to yourself.

Yes in same situation! Currently hiding in room and not allowed to watch tv with my ds. It's rubbish.
