Financial Consent Order Cost

Hi

I'd be grateful if anyone could share their own experience of the cost of having the financial consent order with a clean break drawn up by a solicitor for submission to the court. No other work, purely that

D81 completed ourselves, no complications with full agreement over assets, childcare has already been 50/50 for years and works fine

Many thanks

We did ours through Easy Online Divorce for £499, they were excellent.

We paid around £450 by giving our layman written agreement to my solicitor and her writing it in legal draft form, ready to send to court. But that included her having all the docs at hand and posting onto court site once decree nisi came through. At time general public couldn’t post these last documents electronically onto court divorce site ( eg you couldn’t directly access your case number to add docs), so she did that including back dating etc. we didn’t want to send in post as that takes way longer and stuff gets lost in system sometimes, according to posts here

BUT, I also insisted that ex had time with a solicitor to review consent order with him. He didn’t want to use one. I said if he didn’t the court might throw out our consent order, asit wasn’t quite 50:50 and we’d agreed no pension sharing ( we’d both retired) . So he did do that and it cost about another £200 for a simple 1 hour of “ this is what you are signing, do you understand” type thing. We asked my solicitor to add name of solicitor he’d seen to our docs so court could see he’d taken advice.

costs were in mid 2021.

Thank you very much for replies - much appreciated. I would have liked to have used the Easy Online Divorce service but ex insisting on traditional solicitor despite much higher cost :(
