Im looking for some advice for a very close friend.
She was living with her husband in laws and 2 children 5 and 2. She was assaulted by her mother in law and they left the home and got their own place. Things have been hard and it led to a dv incident where husband has assaulted her and left a couple of bruises on her. She went back to the home and it kicked off again and police were called. Statements have been taken etc and a referral to social care. Shes been to hospital to get checked out today.
However her main issue is that he's taking the kids to his mum and he's staying there saying she can't have them. The 5 Yr old goes to school.
My question is can she take the kids and leave the area to return back to her parents? How would that look ? She'll enroll her 5 Yr old at a new school. Assume the court process will start but she doesn't want to be without her kids whilst the application goes in hearing etc.
