At the moment the children live with me in family home, ex (not divorced yet) is saying he wants 50-50 but that may be for financial reasons. Both cases going to court, finances is first up. Not a lot of equity in home. Ex has ignored my offers to try to settle and is insisting on court. Due to legal fees and his excessive spending, there’s now not enough capital left to get us both 3 beds near our daughter’s school (SE London). Anyone have experience of judge’s awarding an unequal split based on children’s needs, and this then having an impact on child arrangements? (I would like more like 60/40).
