Final order

Hi, a friend of mine has applied for his final order yesterday after the 6 weeks & 1 day, most people's get accepted within a few hours. He has yet to have his accepted. On his gov portal it says something like 'waiting for your wife to respond she has by august 1st' (yesterday) he text and she says she hasn't had an email, it was a sole applicant and she signed the paperwork last November with no problems, does he need his ex's permission to continue with the last stage of the divorce? He is going to ring them up tomorrow to check

That's strange! I was the sole applicant in my divorce application & so I just pressed the button on the final order and it came back the same day! My ex didn't have to do anything

@bevvy81 he actually ended ringing the courts and they said another case was in the way of his divorce and it should be done by the Monday but he rang the Friday at 5pm and they processed the divorce for him on the phone lol
