Hi all ,
This is my first post on here and I wondered if anyone has been through similar experience and give me an idea of what to expect please . I left my abusive ex in December . He refused to leave our marital home and went into rented with my boys . He is refuses to put the house on the market and is still living there alone . He said he will give me half of the equity although he has other assets , can't show me a mortgage is his name or the funds to transfer and he doesnt want to do a financial disclosure .
I tried mediation which he refused to attend and have now started court proceedings . Does anyone have any experience of how long this can take assuming he will be uncooperative and how long it could take the court to force the house sale ?
Thanks in advance

Separated , got the conditional order , he has been really awkward refusing to make arrangements to see kids and is now not seeing them at all as my eldest has refused as his dad has been hurting him

Mediation is definitely not something I'd recommend if he's abusive. There are a few steps you can do when the other person is being uncooperative in a divorce, it just depends what stage you're at. From when you apply for financial remedy it's up top 12 months to final hearing on average.
