DA-just needing advice

Hi I am needing advice I have tried to Google tried to speak but I can’t get an answer. I had to leave a very very dangerous home and flee to a relatives house. This has been due to DA, coercive control pretty much everything. I have a small girl so I just left with only a bag of my clothes and some toys clothes etc for wee one. However we have now been allocated a new house away from the area. I need to still get belongings such as ID/Uni notes/ work files and some goods- but I am absolutely petrified. I am scared of approaching the building I am scared of him being there. Already thinking about it I get a sick feeling the potential is there for me not to leave without some injury. I am based in Scotland is there any support out there for anyone to be with me when I get my things or to sit with the ex whilst I can do this safely? I would leave things if I could but it’s passports other important documentation. The material things don’t matter to me. Please no judging I have left a situation, I have got a safe place I would rather be on my own than think each night could be my last. Anyone who has went through anything similar?

Hey, I'm not sure if it's the same in Scotland but in England you can call and ask for local police officers to meet you at the house. They will remain there while you collect your belongings to keep an eye on things and make sure that you don't come to any harm. I'm ex police and we did this quite frequently, so definitely worth asking. There was no obligation to report anything DA related to police if you didn't want to or weren't ready to.

Also, well done for getting you and your little one out of there. I hope you manage to get some help.
