Parental alienation

Please give me some advice on this. Im absolutely gutted.

I feel like parental alienation is happening with my eldest child (13). With her Dad & his mother (she is the main instigator.

I don't know what to do. It's so out of her character and out the blue.

Are you sure it is alienation and not teenage rebellion? If you end up doing the brunt of childcare and discipline, then you're also going to have the stronger parent child relationship for teenagers to rebel against. Especially if the other household is giving her more freedom.

I think when people are separated they have a lot less control about how their children are brought up because there is an alternative; perhaps consider whether the limits you are placing on her are reasonable in the context of what limits her friends have? And then discuss with ex about shared rules that meet in the middle.
