Final Hearing - ambiguity on ruling

Last week I had my final hearing in family court. The magistrate ruled on a number of issues.

One of the things I am unsure of is he ruled 50:50 for holidays but then said Dad has 6 weeks. Has anyone experienced this before? Is the expectation that for example during Easter it would be one week for Dad and the remainder of the holidays to a with Mum?

There’s 13 weeks holiday in the year

that is why he said 6 weeks

so you have 7

That would be the expectation yes

but he’s leaving it open to be decided amongst yourself

This sounds quite flexible. One year your DD might go away with her DF for 2 weeks at Easter, another year only 1 week. Is this something you can agree on yourselves?

Thx you everyone.

im not sure if we’ll be able to agree.

He’s asking for straight split at half terms, easter, Xmas and 3 weeks each in the summer holidays… obviously this is quite restrictive on half terms etc if we want to go away etc so will tell him it’s 6 weeks and see what he comes back with.

Why wouldn’t you meet in the middle?

straight splits for some of the holidays. Then week one and off for others

or are you actually suggesting he gets 6 weeks in one go over the summer holidays?
