50:50 school holidays

I was hoping someone could help me.

My ex and I are in family court next week. He is asking for half the holidays.

He works a regular 9-5 and I am a part time teacher so his holidays are limited and mine aren’t.

Does court take into account things like this and how likely is he to get 50:50 when it’ll be his Mum providing some of the care. I have no problem agreeing to holidays when he is off work providing they work around the children’s schedule just seems like he is purposely trying to stop them spending time with me

Children are 8 and 10
for reference.

How does he want it split? I wouldnt argue tbh. It doesnt make a difference who is having them. Grandma will probably love the time, or she will soon realise how much work it is…

tbh if make sure it was a fair half in that it was half not just weekends for him and let it play out.

Assuming there are no safeguarding concerns then it is highly likely the father will get half the school holidays. I don't think it really matters if their grandma looks after them some of the time. Parents use childminders when they work so no difference.

i would not repeat this.

Unless there’s an issue you haven’t mentioned, he’ll get half the holidays. It’s very standard as is using childcare and extended family.

Children get 13 weeks’ holiday, half of that is 6.5 weeks, he’ll probably have 4.5 weeks’ holiday so it’s only a couple of weeks a year with their grandmother.
