Child arrangement order

Not exactly divorce/ separation but difficult to find my unique situation represented.

My mum has applied for a child arrangement order and the first hearing and dispute resolution appointment is at the end of June. I’m feeling really unsettled and like I’m unsure what’s next. We relocated 4 hours drive from her and cut all contact September 2021 but the court have given her permission to apply. She did have a relationship with the children previously but has always been volatile and was emotionally abusive/ neglectful towards me in childhood and I’ve finally cut all ties to protect them.

Not sure what I’m asking. For reassurance, I suppose.

How old are the children and do they want to see Grandma?

That’s right. They’re 9 and 10 — she favourited one over the other. The favourited child would like to see her the other child does not want to see her.

As well as favouriting one child over the other she’s been lax with their safety and asked them to keep secrets. On balance, the children’s father and I (we’re separated) decided we’d like to end all contact to protect them. At the time she had “cut us out of her life” so it was easy.
