MoJ Voucher scheme

Hi all,

I'm in the process of getting a divorce and I've been through the first mediation session.

Married for over a decade and I have one DC.

During the session my meditator offered to apply for the "MoJ Voucher scheme". I haven't read about it before on these forums and cannot find any information on MN.

Have any of you availed of this benefit? Also, is there anything I should be aware of before applying?

From what I've read and understand, this isn't legal aid, has a limit of £500, and there aren't any restrictions on income.

Thank you in advance for taking time to reply.

Hi
i work for MOJ and the voucher scheme is available for people needing to mediate for child arrangements. You can find all the info here

www.gov.uk/guidance/family-mediation-voucher-scheme

Hope that helps

I have been separated from my husband for just over 2 years, we were married for 25 years. I am at the degree absolute stage of my divorce. My husband is refusing to put our house on the market and is making me take him to court. He knows I have no money to take him to court as all our money is tied up in the house. I have just been turned down for the mediation voucher scheme because of the value of our house and apparently will not receive any legal aid with taking him to court because of the very same reason. This seems so unfair as as he is sitting the house and I have no money. Has anyone been in a similar situation and what did you do? I can't get a loan or credit card as I have no fixed address. Thank you. Eve
