Two different case numbers on my approved consent order! Help!

Hi all,

The letter accompanying my approved consent order has a case number which is different to the one on my actual consent order.

My consent order has my original case number on it, 16 digits - given at the start of the divorce application.

However, the letter accompanying my consent order (which basically says 'order made by judge... on... the draft consent order at annex a is approved') has a different 16 digit case number.

Has anyone else had this happen?

The court admin staff are adamant this is not a mistake, but I feel that it makes the two documents look unlinked and I honestly think that case numbers should match to avoid any confusion.

I do worry that this could cause a problem in the future but the court admin staff are being unhelpful, so I'm hoping someone here can help.

What’s the problem if you’ve called the court and they’ve said it’s not a mistake? You might be giving yourself some stress for no reason.

I didn’t have this, but a similar issue. The covering lettering from the judge had the applicant and respondent the wrong way around and ordered me to enforce the pension sharing order, instead of the other side. My solicitor said it didn’t matter because the other side (as the applicant) would take the steps to implement it anyway.
