Financial advisor or mediator?

H and I have a relatively simple divorce in progress. I'm confused about whether we need a mediator. We're seeing a financial advisor recommend by resolution charity soon. To work out what mortgage we can both afford, and see if we can figure out the pension split.

We have a solicitor each, to draft the consent order.

Do we still need mediation? We're not arguing and we have agreed a 50/50 childcare split.

No
sounds like you can agree between you

Yep mediation is if you can’t agree and is really the step you’d take to sort things thus avoiding expensive and long winded court orders.

Great news, thank you!
