Consent order-non payment

What do you do when your ex doesn't pay what they should according to the consent order they drew up?

Honestly so done with all this poop! We've been separated for 12 years, but he still it trying to keep control of me and my boys (16 and 12.5)

Probably talk to a solicitor about enforcement, which may involve going back to court.

So My consent order is ready to sign and I'm paying STBEXH the money in 3 years time - there is a date set in the paperwork. I asked the solicitor what happens if I don't pay (no intention not to too just wondered as it's a very specific date and what if the remortgage funds don't come through). Solicitor said it's not like a bailiff will turn up at the door the day after the deadline - ex husband would have to take me to court but the courts would absolutely take a dim view of it since we have a signed bit of paperwork stating I'm supposed to pay x by y date - solicitor very much recommended not being dragged through a court

I have booked an appointment to see my solicitor on 17th. As much as possible I'd really like to avoid court. But this has now been the case since September last year and I'm just sick of it.
