I posted a while ago ago ending my relationship. Not married. Scotland. Living together 13 years, together 15. Two DCs.

Mortgage and no much equity in home. I really want to keep the kids in the family home until youngest is 16.

DP/ P isn’t taking it well. Told him yesterday.

I think I’m going to need hand hold. Is anyone else in the same/ similar situation?

Someone more knowledgeable than me will be on in a minute but I don't think it's as simple as telling him what's going to happen if you own the house jointly and aren't married. He has a right to try and access his 50%.
