Just as the title has said, I need a solicitor for a divorce and any recommendations would be appreciated and welcomed.
Maybe a bit of background, I’m a single mum divorcing an abusive ex husband. Aside from some horrific other things he’s done to me physically and mentally, the more relevant things is that he’s hidden all ours finances and money from me over the last 3 years and he’s now asking me to sell the house as he ‘can’t afford the repayments’ fair enough. He’s got a rented flat right now. I know he’ll need money for somewhere to live etc, I’m not opposed him getting money out of the divorce (before it’s suggested haha)
I’m worried he’ll go for custody of our children even though he’s actually said, he ‘doesn’t want them’ to ensure he doesn’t have to pay child support for them. I’ve facilitated all the visitation and contact between them but each visit he gives our kids to his mother to have.
He currently works a well earning self employed role but I know he ‘fluffs’ his numbers with his accountant so he may try that with our divorce? I’m unsure as I don’t really know how this all works.
I just need a solicitor who is on it and won’t roll over but also, not too aggressive that they anger him!
