help - ex won't sign consent order

Hi, any help on how to move this forward would be amazing.
Decree nisi applied for just over 5 years ago and received, mediation done and agreement reached (took a long time), my solicitor wrote up the consent order in January of this year and it has been going back and forth since.
Ex and his solicitor continually ignore us, last time it took 3 months to get a reply to the draft and this time we are currently at 2.5 months and still waiting. I've emailed his solicitor, my solicitor has also emailed her and we are both being ignored. I don't really want to go to court as we are so near the end and but it is getting getting ridiculous.
He is definitely on the narc/ sociopath scale so this is purely about control from him. I love my solicitor but she is ££££ so trying to keep the communication to a minimum. Any suggestions on what we can do legally to move this forward without having to start all over again in court?

Unfortunately when faced with someone like this reasonableness is out of the window. You probably have little option but court proceedings or tell him agree by x date or you will start court proceedings. From what I’ve read these types may settle on the steps of court whereas some will happily let the whole thing drag through court despite the costs. My bf is going through a similar situation with an ex who seems narcissistic and it’s really horrible but think you have little choice but face that going to court may be required to get this resolved. Sorry I know it’s horrendously stressful.

I am in the same boat. My ex has been dragging his feet about our finances for nearly two years. I’m the meantime I am having to pay half of the mortgage on a house I do not even live in. In the end I was forced to apply to the courts and low and behold he finally is starting to communicate.

Hi, asking on behalf of my parents divorcing.
Divorce submitted by us online last week -£593.
When do we start proceedings for consent order - do we need a solicitor for this? Or just pay the £53 court fee. Trying to keep costs to a minimal, all depending on how dad co-operates. House will be sold with a 50/50 share. Same situ with mother paying half the mortgage but staying at mine…. Help!!! Lol any advice would be greatly appreciated :-)
