Consent Order

Hi, looking for some advice on the best way to go about getting a consent order. I’ve done all of the divorce myself and the financial paperwork but I now need a solicitor to create a consent order to say my ex is happy to pay me a set portion of his military pension. Only problem is I don’t have lots of money to pay for this and no one is getting back to me when I have reached out as I think it’s such a simple task no one sees it as worth their time. Can anyone direct me toward a solicitor who doesn’t cost the earth and will do this super basic form for me? Thanks!!!

Wikivorce have a set fee service to draw up consent orders. Google Wikivorce consent order, about 259 quid

Thank you, I will have a look but it still feels a lot for what will effectively be one sentence

I'm in exactly the same position. I need it for the pension tying order (I get 20% of his pension each month). I have found one for £169 but I don't understand why i can't write it myself

its not exactly 1 sentence there is a lot of legal jargon in it to ensure its legally binding and also for the judge to sign it off. Most solicitors charge between 700-1000 for them.

I didn't think you needed a solicitor to sign it off if doing it yourself - fill in Online form on government website for free and a judge looks at it and signs it off

Hi, can you point me in the direction of the form? I have only seen that you need a consent form to be from a solicitor anywhere I look. I’ve done the P1, D81 and form A and everything seems in order bar the consent order. Thanks !
