Positive story

I just wanted to post a positive story amongst all the stress that some of you lovely ladies are going through.
I bought a house in 2007, height of a the high house prices. I wasn’t married to my partner but we bought the house in joint names. We were buying it to house our family.
bought for £350k within six months he had dumped me and value dropped to £280k.
12 years later, the house I haven’t lived in for 15 years hs now sold for £480k and I get half despite not paying a penny towards the mortgage. I have housed the children of the relationship (whilst getting maintenance) but just wanted me Iet people know it does happen! Stick to your gums, say very little (if anything) and it will hopefully work out.
sorry if This seems braggy, but I was heartbroken, counselling, years of therapy! It gets better x

When Exdh and I bought our house in mid 90's it was worth 25k a few year later we split it was worth 60k with 40k of that as equity. exdh took 20k as he wanted to be free. 12 years later I sold it for 120k and got to keep the lot.
