Hi,

My husband has just commenced divorce proceedings.

I'm feeling vulnerable and anxious. I desperately need legal advice (details in my previous thread).

Can anyone recommend an affordable but good solicitor in the London area?

Hi, I’m not in the London are but I found my solicitor by looking through the websites of all the local firms.

I looked for someone who was part of Resolution.org (it’s a mediation service so tries to be less confrontational). Then I looked for a senior partner who specialised in family law that had plenty of years experience. I avoided really big companies.

Next I arranged a phone call, they give an initial free consultation. I spoke to two female solicitors and went with the one I liked best.
