Practical Advice Pls! - thinking of separating

Hi all,

I am considering a split from my H.

I currently don’t work and we share our house, which does have some value in it.

I May also be coming into around 40k shortly. I am looking at part time jobs at the moment. I care for child with additional needs who is now at school mostly full time and I do care a few afternoons for another relative.

Where the hell do I go from here if we do decide to split? I am so scared and worried I’ll regret it or not cope. We may consider a trial separation.

Speak to a solicitor as soon as you can to get advice. You might not want to leave in the end, but if you do at least you'll have the facts about what you're entitled to etc.

Be prepared that divorce is really, really hard but ultimately less hard than being in an awful marriage.
