It was October 2021 when I realised that stbxh’s behaviour was coercive, gaslighting and misogynistic.
We are now mid divorce - stbxh refused to engage in mediation as he said it wouldn’t be fair. We’ve paid a small fortune to solicitors over the last 6 months and now he’s saying this won’t be fair, we have to go to court.
I honestly just need it all to be over ASAP. I’m struggling massively with my mental health.
The financial settlement that his solicitor suggested would see him in a 5 bed house, with 100+k income - and me in a 3 bed terrace with the children with a large mortgage and likely on benefits.
The financial settlement that my solicitor suggested gave me all of the house equity and the majority of his pensions.
I don’t think either are fair.
How do I find a middle ground? I really, really, really need this to be over soon, for my sake and the children’s.
