Advice needed on new email ref solicitor correspondence.

Hi, I am divorcing my husband and I am a complete numpty when it comes to IT.

My husband has previously set up my iPad, emails, passwords etc and manages them from his computer.

my solicitor has suggested I set up a new email for her correspondence for added security.

Which one should I use? I already have Google, gmail and iCloud ones, which I don’t use but we’re set up by him. The one I mostly use has a domain name that was set up by him for his own company.

Any suggestions? I do have a pass code set up on my ipad.

Set up an independent Outlook email, just google how to do it its pretty easy

If you can I would wipe the iPad etc and restart if you have a family shared account with H in charge there are a lot of things he will be able to do/check including “find my iPhone” etc.

Personally I would use proton mail it’s free and very easy to use and incredibly secure/untraceable.

also if you have it check your one drive/google drive change ALL passwords and set up 2 factor authentication, remember you’re not paranoid if they really are out to get you.

im not saying he will/would do anything but these situations don’t seem to bring out the best in any of us, and when trust breaks/has broken down….
