We've been seperated 5 years, completely seperate lives, no joint accounts, no joint debts.
He doesn't pay maintenance, but he does buy stuff for the kids and occasionally gives me a couple of hundred quid here and there, and has them 4 nights a month (every other weekend basically)
I want to start divorce proceedings, but i have NO idea where to even begin.. and if we go via mediation on the financial statement (i want a clean break) if we agree between us that no-one gets anything they didnt come into the marriage with and the kids are taken care of in our wills (i dont want his house, pensions or any claim on his finances.. equally, he can keep his mitts off anything i may gain in future inheritance) can the judge refuse it if they think its unfair on me.. even if i'm dead set on cutting ties completely?
