I just don't know what to do. Marrige has ended. We live in the same house with our son age 7 tensions are running high. Bad atmosphere. Meditation is booked in in Monday for me. He has already had his. I initiated it in the beginning. But know I think he wants it because he doent want it to go to court because he owns everything and has the High wage. I work full time and am on basic wage.
I am scared of how much it will cost for me to take it to court I've been quoted about 6,000. But I don't trust mediation because it is not leagaly binding. He owns our home We live in and a property abroad he has all in his name. A private pension a widows pension. Etc. So quite alot as in assets And whatever else he has stashed away. I don't trust him as far as I could throw him.
I just have my basic wage and a bit of savings. Is it really worth spending what I have to get what is legally mine as we have been married 8 years.

Mediation might help you realise what a fair outcome / split could be

just get rid of him. You’ll l be better off and build up a better life without him.

The point of mediation is to get a settlement without taking the decisions to court. Judge still has to sign off the final division of assets, and you'll have legal standing to enforce it. One Day at a Time, x
