If you didn't go to court and your divorce was amicable how much did your divorce cost in terms of lawyers, mediators, pension actuaries, IFAs etc etc?

And if you were not the main breadwinner, how long did it really take between starting the legal process and being able to have bank accounts, pensions, houses etc sorted enough so you could start building your life again, especially buying a new home?

It just seems to be taking so long and costing so much, I just want to be reasonable with my expectations.

£0 -- but similar earnings histories and pension provision. Just the £550 court fee.
Probably about a year.

Initial divorce application - just under £600
Mortgage transfer - £200
Change of parties on deeds - around £1000
Court hearing - £550

Bank accounts changed - less than a month
Conditional order (decree nisi) - about 6 months (not finished yet)
Deed poll - less than a week

Good luck! xx
