Solicitor to draft consent order

My exH and I are trundling through the divorce process amicably; and we agree on the financial settlement so plan to have a consent order drafted based on our own written agreement.

If any of you have had a consent order drafted, how did you go about finding a solicitor; and most importantly, kept costs down.

My exh used an online company called divorce online. Pretty straight forward process.

I found a solicitor based on location, reviews and what they specialize in, went for a smallish form with good reviews.
we agreed everything amicably and ex suggested doing everything online but i wanted someone on my side drafting it and having someone to ask questions etc. Perhaps i could have had that from onli e service but felt more comfortable with a person looking after my case.
So far it hasn’t cost arm and a leg but we are amicable so that helps a lot.

Also, make sure you ask if they deal with it on a fixed fee. Some family law sols will deal with various aspects of the divorce Ona fixed fee basis. Considering you and your ex have already agreed the situation and breakdown of what will happen, it will likely be fairly straightforward work x
