Bury Divorce Centre Delays

Got an automatic response stating taking 45 days to process petitions.

My original was submitted August 2021. Bury - Lost the papers. Bury - Admitted this in December. Submitted fresh papers, at my expense, January on the promise would be dealt with as priority. Still waiting. Formal complaint March. No acknowledgement.

Is anyone having the same experience with Bury Divorce Centre?

Heaven help now with the ‘no-fault’ divorce. Fear original applications are going to be stuck in the old system whilst all resources are transferred to the new system to ensure it is seen to be successful.

Bury are useless.
Most divorces are now done on the online portal which is pretty efficient.
All you can do is keep emailing them and ringing them for a response.
But expect it to take forever. You would have been better off doing it online.

The easy answer to how do people afford. They sacrifice they save and some put on credit. Nobody does the travelling, marriage, house thing altogether because how could they afford to? There's some fab advice on here OP, and I agree travelling is better being prioritised if you think you may regret it later. Best of luck!!
