Consent Order

What happens if ex doesn't abide by the timescales of the consent order? Ex is supposed to give me a lump sum within 14 days of approved Order but this has elapsed. There are other things too that he has not done.

Get your solicitor to remind him of the implications and advise that you will take him to court if he doesn't do as stated.

Flerp · 26/03/2022 08:34

As above. Some solicitors will put clauses for interest on failure to pay. Talk to your solicitor to understand the next step

You don't need a clause fir interest, it applies to all lump sums over £5K. 8%.

Has decree Absolute been pronounced?

clicketyclicks · 01/04/2022 19:52

No, decree absolute not yet done.

clicketyclicks · 01/04/2022 19:52

Flerp - wish I'd thought of this to put in Consent Order

clicketyclicks · 11/04/2022 22:14

@MrsBertBibby, ** is this right? Where can I find it in writing re the interest. It's a significant sum he should have transferred and is it calculated on a daily interest rate then?

Kittycat2019 · 11/04/2022 23:25

My understanding is that consent order doesn't come into force until decree absolute completed. Certainly what I was advised

clicketyclicks · 12/04/2022 07:57

@Kittycat2019 but the consent order specifically says he has to do something within 14 days of the order being signed. He has not done that and is actually 15 days over that date.
