Decree Nisi obtained over 2 years ago.

Consent Order settling finances approved by Court last week.
Ex is the Applicant.

Now what? Does he apply for an Absolute? Does he have to do it within a time-frame?

We both have solicitors. Do we go through them and if so, is it likely to be much more work (and cost 🙁)?

Yes - he can apply. I can't see why he'd have to do it via solicitor. Maybe ask how much the cost will be? If he's doing it himself, there's no cost to make the application.

He will be told he will have to submit a statement to the court explaining why it's over a year since the Nisi was pronounced (basically he has to confirm that you haven't lived together since, have had no more children together etc).
