Anyone been in a refuge recently?

I have a window of opportunity to flee next week but I'm quite anxious about going.

I've had no friends for a long time & I'm worried I might not fit in or mix well.

Do women support each in them?
Can anyone share there experience?

Refuge Christmas wasn't so bad, in fact we've had one of the best Christmas fir a very long time.

My daughter starts her new school in Jan and we're starting to settle in where we are.

I've applied on the housing register as homeless, should hopefully get an answer in January if I can be rehoused in the area, I hope we do!

I've not seen my daughter this happy in a very long, as hard and lonely this journey is right now, I just know we've done the best thing and we're now living quite happy again.

I was going to post on Monday, this is when I get the keys to my new home!

The last 9 months have been painful and slow, but a healing process started and both myself and my daughter are coming on leaps and bounds.
My daughter had her prom and passed all 9 GCSE's with 6's which is a B and a double star distinction. She's starting 6th also on Monday, physics, maths, business & geography.
The area we're moving too is semi rural but a brand new house, it's absolutely perfect for us, I'm so excited for our next steps but abit nervous too.
