Form E not received

My stbx is being very kind to me. He’s paying all the bills and refuses my offers of any contribution. What I don’t understand though, is why his he and his solicitor are not responding to our correspondence.
The actual divorce has been prolonged because of this and now the exchange of Form E’s isn’t progressing.
Is he playing games or is his solicitor not doing his job?
My solicitor has suggested, that we proceed to mediation.

If he hasn't submitted his form e despite repeated requests then I'm guessing that he doesn't want you to know how much money he has.

Why do you think he's not submitting it?

This seems a bit area about face. Is this just a voluntary exchange of financial information in the Form E format rather than as part of formal proceedings with a court directed timetable?

Just seem odd that mediation would be suggested now.

Maybe he has moved some money in the last 10/11 months or so, so if he strings it out and makes you wait it won’t show up in the last 12 month’s worth of bank statements.

If it’s amicable fo you need to exchange form Es? I never did with my ex - we used a shortened disclosure form with the consent order. Can you agree between yourselves? Otherwise mediation much better than court

He may be dragging his feet to see if you change your mind.

I would stop using a solicitor now and head for mediation first, for the mere reason that you may waste all the money you will need to fight a proper legal battle getting the guy to submit the form. Just think about it, how much each solicitor’s reminder to send the form E is costing you? He know your solicitor is not a judge so he can continue to ignore the requests for the foreseeable…

That may be why ^
