Hi all, I am now Intouch with woman's aid to help me leave my abusive husband, how long roughly did it take to get everything in place for it to be safe to leave?

I'm doing the same thing myself at the moment.

I've been emotionally abused and I'm waiting on my daughter to finish her mock exams next week.

If you can you'll need to get paper work up together, you can take photos of them, scan or photocopy them, or just take them with you.

Most importantly ID for you!

I hope your safe and staying positive right now - you can do this!

Hey
Glad to know he's gone now

Are you going to a refuge?
I'm fleeing this week, I have a window of opportunity for 2 days so I'm off then!

lovelybones1 · 22/11/2021 21:59

@MumE78 no I'm not fleeing as he's gone to stay at his parents x hope it goes well hun

Did you manage to get away?
MumE78 · 27/12/2021 18:03

@TherapyClient
I did manage to get away!

Despite everything we've had one of the best Christmas in a very long time.
Thank you for asking, I hope you have a good Christmas

I am so heartened to hear this!

I'm also collating evidence for EA to get an occupational order to make him leave the premises, but just not sure I’ve got enough.

Would it be alright for me to private message you, if you felt able to share some of your story? It's not the sort of thing you hear people talking about IRL, if you see what I mean. Totally understand if you can't face it though.

@TherapyClient

Yes of course you can!
