I’m looking to divorce my H.

I had an initial 1.5 hour meeting with a solicitor and he out set what kind of settlement I should expect.

H is a high earner, no pension though.
I was told I should expect the family home, a cash lump sum, child maintenance and spousal support. This is far more than I ever expected.

I have emails from our accountant and his company financial records as proof of what he earns, is worth etc.

H will make my life very difficult, he’s very aggressive and abusive.

How likely is it that he’ll play ball? Will he be made to settle!

My friend had to pay her ex spousal support but she made an application and stopped it after a year.

I do work 3 days a week but would look to increase this once dc is out of primary.
Even if I get half of what’s proposed I’ll be happy, just need to get away from him.
Thanks for reading.

What offer have you made so far and what was his response?

I don't believe he hasn't got a pension lol. Did he tell you that ?

Haven't got that far yet, he definitely doesn't have a pension.

You need to negotiate. Make him an offer based on the legal advice you've been given and then take it from there.
