Hi has anyone recently had one back approved? my solicitor said expected response 2-4 weeks from when goes to judge and now it's past that. Getting anxious as just want this over with so ex can stop saying it's my house too I am buying him out once it's Signe doff and finalised. can apply for decree absolute as of yesterday but thought best to wait for consent order. It's Birmingham family court if that makes any difference. Thanks

Not sure but mine I think was around 6 weeks after it was received by the court. I asked on their online chat and they were able to tell me which day it was received - that gave me an indication and it was very helpful.

Sorry not able to answer your question but if it's only a matter of weeks, that sounds quite encouraging as delays at Bury St Edmund's were apparently 5 months last year! I'm hoping mine will be sent off in the next few weeks and I was dreading a massive delay but your having been told only a couple of weeks for Birmingham court is quite encouraging! Good luck with yours and I hope you get it approved very soon. Good luck for your new life! 🙂🙂

Hi, i've been issued a date for Decree Nisi to be read in court in 3 weeks. House sold and divided proceeds. I will agree rest of financial split which is basically he will keep his pension (lifetime allowance) I'll keep mine which is half this amount and we will split remaining company cash 50/50 and have agreed a one lump maintenance figure (50% of what he estimates over next 3/4 years cost for kids). I'm agreeing all. We've not employed a solicitor. Shall we apply for financial consent now or after Nisi? Is it done through GOV website ? Do we also need a solicitor to witness or sign anything to make this happen ? I'd like to be divorced ASAP so looking at lead times for consent looks like need to get skates on.
