Consent order help

Hi,
I've recently been granted my decree nisi and so STBEXH and I are wanting to apply for a consent order. We have managed to agree all financial and child arrangements without needing solicitors so far and we were hoping to write the consent order ourselves, however everything I have seen online is saying it is better for it to be written by a solicitor.

Has anyone written their own consent order and had it approved?
Thanks for your help.

I looked into it and was advised it as a no go as have to make sure the legal wording is correct to make it worth the paper it's written on. Found. Very good solicitors 400 quid to draft what we agreed my order is at the court now hoping will get back imminently.

You can agree what it should say and just pay a solicitor to draft it for you. Advice is you should both have independent legal advice first.

It has to be written by a solicitor. DIY consent orders aren't possible.
