Hi everyone i m new here and i do not know where to turn to for advice, maybe i ll be lucky and get some here.breifly, my wife is leaving me and taking our 2 children with her. she is seeking to rent somewhere and get help with universal credit. she says she wants nothing from me in any way, my house is paid for worth 220 000 pounds and i have a small pension. i paid for the house alone and with my mothers inheritance. the kids will stay with me 3 days a week and sleep over. how can i get the house back in my name without her being able to come after 50 percent at a later date, she is adamamant she wants nothing from me. i am 58 she is 35 so it will be hard for me to earn money now to buy her out.we are still speaking and she lives here, i do not have much money and solicitors want 250 pounds an hour which i do not have, if anyone can give me any advice i will be truly grateful

How long have you been married?
I don’t know the ins and outs but it’s unlikely she’ll get full benefits while owning this asset and it’s unlikely you’ll find a judge to sign off. Settlement where you keep it fully
Sorry to say but you need to reach a different settlement ( might be 50:50 or something different )
