Does a person have to declare ALL previous marriages

Can't find the answer to this does anyone know?

Say for instance a man wants to marry his fifth wife. He has divorced the first 4 - all above board. He is getting married to his fifth. Wife number 5 knows he's been married before. But can he leave a couple of wives out or would it be documented and unavoidable information that he has 4 previous wives?

Thanks in advance Smile

My exes were all abusive. I hope dh knew he was well better than any of them.
We have just had our anniversary and ds told him Well Done for getting this far!!
Grin
The dc know I am a hard woman to please!!. Took along time to be assertive and accept nothing but greatness!!
Dh is well appreciated also!!

30degrees. My first dh was also abusive so how he has managed to snare four more wives is bewildering. I presume he has mellowed with age but still has the patter.

My current dh does get a hard time bless him but he sticks around. They know when they have a good woman don't they Wink

Wishing you many more anniversaries.

In this day and age it would be really good if there were a simple way of searching for any marriages entered into by someone, preferably internationally!

And a legal requirement to declare all previous marriages, which could be checked on said database thingy.

If you currently want to search for someone’s marriage you need to have a good idea of when and where it took place.

I wonder if this is someone I know on 5th!! All affairs.

Yes this information absolutely should be available. Like looking on the local register. You can get anyone's birth or death certificate doesn't matter who you are.

Autumn whoops have I said too much

@Nickersnackersnockers your X's previous job didn't require a macho uniform did it? I know someone who fits into this category if so...
