How soon to separate finances

Just that really. If you had a joint account, how soon did you sort out finances, share out what is in your joint account and start paying out of and into your own account? STBXH moving into rented shortly. Assuming finances will be reasonably amicable.

Move as much of it to your name as possible. When my oh left last year I moved everything to mine name and my account. All he paid was the mortgage. When he came home last month I left them as they were. Good job really as he's decided to go again. All he gets to take is the internet package as its a new contract in his name. I'll just get myself a new supplier.
