Decree absolute

Hi

My ex husband got a phone call from his solicitor while I was with him during contact, and he got told the absolute has come through. We were surprised as we thought it would be longer

I called up my solicitors a few days later and they said they can't see any letters that have come through but they'll check with someone else in the office and get back to me

That was a month ago now, and since then they've called me back once to say they've not got anything and that there's a backlog in court. I mentioned that my ex has got his and they thought that was odd and unusual that mine hasn't come through and said they'd check again and call me back. No one's got back to me since then

Can I call the court myself and ask if it's been issued? I'm worried that it may have got lost in the post as my ex got his a month ago now

I contacted courts today via online chat to ask about progress of financial order and it was very helpful.
I had to give reference number and answer some security questions.
Maybe you can try that... hope it helps x

@hopelessandlost no problem. We had the same issue my partner received his decree but his ex wife didn't. They emailed the decree absolute to her in the end. :) there is a live chat but be on there by 8 otherwise it is busy but there is a number to call too which is 0300 303 0642 x

It's been granted! Funnily enough my solicitor called me right after to let me know they have it too lol. Thank you so much for your help x
