Hi just wondering if anyone has any advice...

I got divorced 2014 during the court hearing i was awarded a 55% share when we come to sell when children turn 18 and my ex gets a 45% share.

At the time of the divorce there was a lot of back and forth between solicitors agreeing house price and we had to get estate agents to provide quotes. My question is will my ex be entitled to a 45% share of sale price bases on the agreed price back in 2014 or would it be the current market value. Thanks

It depends on what the order says but the usual arrangement is it's a percentage of future value, not hearing date value.

Generally if it’s specified as a percentage only, it’s the value when actually sold. If it were a specified value instead, that would be a different story.
