Hi, I'm representing myself in a case that should never of went to court, but due to ex ignoring me I had no choice. He has been extremely slack and less than forth coming with financial information. Originally I was seeking 50/50 with a shake of a hand and move on. Since I have had to proceed and take a clear look at my financial state, I am now seeking a 70/30 split. He is in the family home which i seeking to sell.
I have had the final hearing court date and currently studying the 1973 matrimonial act section 25. As the judge has asked for my consise statement solely to be based on that. I'm on benefits and believe it or not I get to much on benefits for legal aid. Also currently on furlough. I'm very grateful for the benefit system, it allowed me to leave my marriage. Now two years in, it was never forever. I also have to cross examine my ex and his solicitor me. I'm shitting it to be quite honest. I have nothing to hide and an completely transparent. I just don't want to make a mockery of the court or the judge with my extreme lack of experience. Has any else been through anything similar. My ex is a complete and utter narcissist it's always been about control and winning. I do feel confident but reading some stories online it's made me think......
