Hi all. After some mn knowledge for a friend of mine. She and her H married for 3 years, she left about 18 months ago.
Both worked FT though she earns about 40k, he earned less, maybe 30k.
No kids. Lived together in an annex owned by his father (who is very wealthy).
She has pension. He chose not to as he is expecting to inherit a lot of money although he worked in place that offers good pension.
At the time is splitting they sorted out all belongings, finances etc. Last week she finally bought her own home. She is 40 and part of the reason for splitting was yearning for her own place rather than under the shadow of FIL. She was gifted a deposit by her own parents. She is NC with ex but suddenly this week she received a letter from solicitor saying divorce instructed and asking for valuation of her house and her pension. Absolutely floored her as she had no idea it was coming.
What are the chances he will have a claim on her pension and house?
