Has anyone used one before?

I just wanted to know if anyone on here has used a forensic accountant before and if so, did it add value to your case or help the outcome in court? How much did it cost you?

I would really appreciate to hear from those who have and your experience. Also, whether it was worth the amount you paid?

A friend of mine did, married for about 40 years, the proposed settlement was going to leave her without being able to afford a small 2 bed house and she is past retirement age, and he was director of a company with over 300 staff and they'd never struggled for money in decades. After getting the forensic accountant involved she has come away with more than £6 million. A lot of assets stashed away, including some he had put in the other woman's name.

@VikingsandDragons oh wow, it was definitely worthwhile then. Did she ever tell you how much the costs were or if it was expensive?

I know in total her legal expenses were over £80k, but I'm afraid I don't know how much the forensic accountant part of that was.

Oh wow, thats quite a bit. Thank you for posting x

Sounds like £80k well spent! Imagine having that much money and trying to leave your ex with so little.

But you need the £80k in the first place I assume? if you can't afford one, you can't chase the cash - that's what I found anyway.
