Unbearable situation

I'm part way through a divorce. I moved out of the family home 7 months ago. I'm living with my parents and my 2 kids. I know I should never have left the house but my ex threatened me and I left in the middle of the night with the kids. The police were informed.
I am paying half the mortgage on the house. He says he can't afford to rent anywhere so I can live there with the kids (he can!). I'm at my wits end. The kids DS17 and DD10 are sharing a room and that's far from ideal. I have no privacy. I can't afford to rent anywhere and still pay half the mortgage. I don't know what to do. We can't sell the house until we agree on a settlement which is taking ages. He's offered me 55/45 split which my solicitor has advised I refuse. Any ideas??

Hi, it does sound bad for you bumping for you, I'm sure you can sell the house without the agreement as the solicitors can hold the money until an agreement is made. Did you report your husband's threats? You could also think about an occupation order for your husband to move out so you and the children can move back in until the house is sold. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

This might have been better in legal. Can you ask for it to be moved ?

Why can’t you move back in and claim UC.
So long as he move out of course.
