How much should a "Messy" Divorce cost?

Here's a thing. Divorce CAN cost a lot, so much it can bankrupt you.

Divorce solicitors are partnering with high interest loan companies and pressuring clients to take out high interest loans to fund their fees, these loans are often secured on property, the family home, for example.

Where one of these loans exists, divorce costs will often spiral out of control.

Huge amounts of correspondence, but no court appearances and no court orders get no one anywhere, but they do generate fee income for solicitors.

The solicitors are aware, but you may not be, that any lending over £30k is not protected by the CCA, over that sum you can't complain about the service provided by the solicitor. The loans are, therefore, often set at OVER that figure, for that reason - not to protect you but to protect the solicitor from your CCA complaint and the obligation to provide a refund.

Divorce - however messy - need not cost more than £50k and even that is the top end.
