How do you find a solicitor?

Am just embarking on this -made the decision s couple of years ago but am so terrified of the process and of choosing a solicitor who is less clever than the one my STBXH can afford. He will oppose the divorce, not because he wants to stay married ti me but because he will take a financial hit.

Not sure if it is true, but I used to read on here, get your free thirty minutes with every solicitor within an asses roar of your postcode, if you have been there first, the other party can't then be seen due to conflict of interest.

(Of course, if he’s heard that he might well have done that) I made the big mistake if telling him a tear ago I wanted a divorce but have ben too weedy and pathetic to actually do anything about it. . His EA is getting a divorce too so he will be massively ahead of me in knowing stuff.
