Hi,

Can anyone recommend a Shit Hot Lawyer in the Nottingham area?

Not for me, I’m not married, but a family member.
Tale as old as time, wife has stayed at home and taken care of the family, husband now says he can’t see a way forward in the relationship, and is making noises about his pension having no value (despite long and lucrative career). He worked in London for six of the last ten years, receiving large sum of money when his stake in company sold. Worked as a financial directer so is very, very shrewd. Wife listed as director on new company but has no access to business accounts, etc.

Have advised re quietly making copies of documents and storing them elsewhere and getting some provisional legal advice.

Any further suggestions?

I can tell you one to avoid - Jackson Quin. Absolute shit show of a place. Reported them to their governing body.

Try Sarah Heathcote, at Rupert Bear Murray Davies. I couldn't afford to use for everything, but paid for an hour before final financial hearing and was impressed. Was recommended her by people who had experienced them on the opposite side. I tried 2 others first, one cheaper, one legal aid, not on the same level at all.
